A Global career
I have just completed my second seat in the firm’s Singapore office. The Singapore office is located in Raffles Place, right in the heart of the business district. I sat in the E&R department and was involved with a lot of interesting work. I gained exposure to fascinating disputes that were being heard at the SIAC and assisted my team by drafting arbitration documents and
conducting legal research. I was also involved on the transactional side and worked on high profile solar and wind projects located in Asia. I appreciated my time abroad as it offered me high levels of responsibility, great client contact and also a stunning view of Marina Bay Sands from my office desk!
Singapore is an incredible city to live and work. From Clarke Quay to Club Street, the night life is an unforgettable experience. The city-state is also world famous for its cuisine and has plenty to offer. With great transport links to the rest of South East Asia, I was fortunate enough to travel to Bali, Japan, Thailand and Hong Kong amongst other exotic destinations. As there is also a large group of trainees from other law firms who have also been seconded, there is never a dull moment and there are plenty of people to socialise with after work
