Trainee Solicitors and Solicitor Apprentices

Trainee Solicitors

Prior to joining the firm, our Trainees will complete their SQE part 1 and part 2 at the University of Law.

We are currently working with the University of Law to design our SQE courses. As a Firm we believe in our entrepreneurial spirit - which helps us to seek out new opportunities both for ourselves and our clients. Your law school studies will help to foster this entrepreneurialism providing you with the opportunity to gain a detailed understanding of the financial markets and business environments in which our clients are operating. You will study alongside other HFW Trainees.

If you are a non-law student, you will need to study the PGDL prior to commencing the SQE.

We provide our future Trainees with a maintenance grant towards each year of study. Our standard maintenance grant is £12,000 per year paid on a monthly basis throughout the course.

We provide our future Trainees with plenty of opportunities to keep in touch with us in the lead up to joining. Each year we run social activities and presentations at our London office to enable you keep up-to-date and to build your networks with our current Trainees, Associate and Partners.

Solicitor Apprentices

Our Solicitor Apprentices will complete their law degree in Legal Practice and Skills (LLB) at the University of Law for the first four years and then, will continue to complete their SQE part 1 and part 2, all while working. We are currently working with the University of Law to design the law degree for our Solicitor Apprentices. Solicitor Apprentices will study alongside other apprentices from other firms. They will spend one day studying at the University of Law, and four days working in the office, until the end of the programme.

Solicitor Apprentices will have the opportunity to meet a wide range of people at the firm and build their networks.
