Your success Our success
Prior to joining the firm, our Trainees complete the joint LPC/LLM in Commercial Legal Practice at BPP. The LPC/LLM is designed to equip you with practical and academic training in core business concepts such as business finance and business strategy, alongside the standard elements of the LPC.
As a Firm we believe in our entrepreneurial spirit - which helps us to seek out new opportunities both for ourselves and our clients. Studying the LPC/LLM will help to foster this entrepreneurialism providing you with the opportunity to gain a detailed understanding of the financial markets and business environments in which our clients are operating.
You will study alongside other HFW Trainees. For the second part of the LPC, you will study elective modules that are linked to the firm's business areas – our current electives are insurance law, advanced commercial litigation, and international trade and transactions.
If you are a non-law student you will need to study the GDL prior to commencing LPC/LLM. BPP is also our chosen law school for the GDL.
We provide our future Trainees with a maintenance grant towards each year of study. Our standard maintenance grant is £7,000 per year paid on a monthly basis throughout the course. Whilst the vast majority of our trainees elect to study in London, if, for any reason, you are unable to study in London then our non-London maintenance grant is £5,500.
We provide our future Trainees with plenty of opportunities to keep in touch with us in the lead up to joining. Each year we run social activities and presentations at our London office to enable you keep up-to-date and to build your networks with our current Trainees, Associate and Partners.
